A study examining the clinical value of second opinions in cancer care found that they often led to changes or reductions in treatment that reduced short- and long-term health risks for patients. Another study found that 94% of patients found a second opinion helpful, with satisfaction related to improved communication and reassurance about their diagnosis.

For peace of mind get a second opinion. Radiation is brutal with short, long term and possibly lifetime side effects. Hoping you will be lucky and be able to avoid that. Unfortunately I was not. Best of luck to you.

@nnurse yo fui operado dé ca dé lengua en estadio 4 un tumor en el lado derecho y me tuvieron que estirpar más dé medía lengua longitudinalmente y posteriormente tratamiento dé radioterapia 35 sesiones y la verdad es que es un tratamiento asesino en silencio pues té destroza toda la estructura orofaringea té quema todo y te queda sin glándulas salivales por lo qué té crea una gran problema para poder comer. Pero té hablo dé mi caso que él tumor estaba muy avanzado sí él tuyo es dé estadio 1 lo vas a soportar mejor pues no será tan grave como el mío, ánimo y déjate aconsejar por especialistas en la materia. Qué tengas suerte y té vaya todo bien, un saludo.
