Almost if not all SSRI’s have gone generic and yes they do work. The added benefit is that they are far more affordable. Patents run out and big pharma has no choice and has to offer a generic version or let another company take over that market.
Maybe I am missing something but all my antidepressants are generic and so much more affordable. This is a good thing at least for me.

Not all generics work as well as the brand name. There have been many articles about generic antidepressants, not working as well as the brand name. I have dealt with this same scenario with Cymbalta. The generic version does not come close to the brand name of efficacy.
