I had prostrate surgery 21 years ago and have had incontenance problems ever since up until March when I had a PROACT procedure but over those 20 plus years I have tried everything and have found that TENA Men's Overnight Extra Coverage was about the only thing that worked for me I was using 6 to 8 pads per day and now only 2 per day. I walk 10,000 steps each morning and I used to have to change pads about half way thru. I am an Army vet and the VA tried to provide pads and we went thru 6 or 8 different ones and they did not have a contract for TENA and they could not provide them. Of all the ones I have used the TENA are the best. I would have the same surgery today because I have had 20 plus years of a wonderful life. Except my DR. did not tell me that I would face this problem.

Thanks for the comment. I've had similar experience since my prostatectomy in 1998. I'm also a Veteran, Agent Orange, 40% for prostate cancer, and hypothyroidism. Experimented with multiple types and brands of pads but, like you, found Tena works best for me. Two a day usually suffices, unless I consume excessive fluids (especially any containing alcohol). Biggest issue is 3-4 nightly pee trips. Urologist prescribed Mirabegron ER 50mg to reduce frequency. It helped somewhat, reducing trips to 2 or 3, but due to the standard side effect of constipation, an issue I don't need to exacerbate, I stopped taking. I would appreciate more specifics on your experience with the PROACT procedure. For some reason my urologist has not broached the subject.
