It isn't true that all cardiologists love statins. Some do, some don't. There is a plethora of mounting evidence that many on statins should not be, or don't need to be. There are scads of bonafide cardiologists on YouTube claiming that statins do more harm than good in a great many cases. I think of some who are PhD....and...MDs, who have done a lot of research on their own and who disagree with statins. Dr. Suneel Dhand is an MD, Dr. Rob Cywes holds a PhD and is a pediatric surgeon (so an MD):

Thanks for all the links. Very helpful. I really liked Dr Nadir’s presentation. I stopped the statins several months ago. My cardiologist prescribed them to me on Feb 2025. Started to have bad side effects. I decided to go with the nutritional way. Cholesterol is really needed in the body. Pharma just keep pushing all these drugs to get billions of dollars!!

Not sure who said ALL cardiologists love statins. I said, “Opinions are all over the place.”
