Alexandra, are you hoping to be his direct donor, or will you be part of the National Kidney Registry? My son gave his kidney to a young man in San Francisco (he was not a match for me) and now I await my turn from another living donor. We have found this process to be amazing.

I’m hoping to be his direct donor but it depends on the cross matching test and another one. I know I also have the choice to be in a pair donation or the voucher program. Did you do through the voucher program? I’m so glad you have a new kidney. And your son is a hero for sure.
