My mother was on prescription strength Naproxen for arthritis.
Over time it made a hole in her duodenum which she had emergency patched.
The result was congestive heart failure. She was taking the two drugs -a vasodilator to open her arteries and one to make her heart beat stronger. She kept returning to the hospital for stabilization. She kept getting weaker and didn't make it home the last trip.

@lenmayo , thanks for sharing how things progressed with your mother. That must have been a rough time for you all.
I’ll be accompanying my mom to the doctor to review the test results. I’ve noticed her increased fatigue and lack of mobility. She also has a hiatal hernia.Of course, the fatigue and unwell feelings could be due to the loss of my dad that occurred only a couple of weeks ago. She’s taking it really hard. I hesitate to leave her alone for even short periods of time. Considering placement in AL or NH. I’ve also considered something called the widowhood factor.
