I first went to interventional pulmonologist at Cooper hospital. They suggested I wait another 3 mths to see how things go. He didn’t think it was cancer, but also due to location of it, it was very close to aorta & therefore couldn’t be biopsied. That didn’t sit right with me, thinking if it was cancer it would be growing in me.
So I went to UPenn & saw interventional pulmonologist there. He agreed that due to location it could not be biopsied. He also agreed that it’s a slow growing cancer. And then the clincher for me- he said in his opinion it was 80% that it was cancer & referred me to thoracic surgeon & my surgery was 7-28. It was stage 1A cancer & dr said he got it all so therefore I won’t need treatment. I was so happy with that news.
This is the start of my second week home, it’s a rough time some days, but I hang on that each day will be better….
