Eliquis nearly killed me. I had no Afib for 4 years then I started Eliquis and within 6 hours I was so sick and had such bad Afib I was cardio adverted. Then for the next 2 weeks I suffered dementia like feelings, horrible thoughts , severe head congestion and the thickest glue phlegm. So thick, I couldn’t breathe and major fatigue.
But the worst was the stomach massive gas in my chest that repeatedly trigger Afib. I stopped taking Eliquis on my own after arguing with the Dr. and within a day things started to get better. Except the stomach. It’s been 5 months and I’m just starting to get a handle on it. Drs don’t seem to want to help. They just want to prescribe more meds or ablation for Afib. But will they address the stomach NO!
It all started with Eliquis! I’m on a very low dose of Warafin now.
Acupuncture, Tapping, lymphatic massage and diaphragm breathing has helped a lot.
