I was diagnosed in 2004 that was 20 years ago. I didn’t buy the diagnosis because it came and went. There are other extenuating circumstances, and I suggest that they are unique to us individually. You have to go back and ask for more testing. In my case, I did an intercellular test which showed I had an inability to produce enough l-carnitine and amino acid. So I take a supplement every day and if I don’t have it. I get so tired. I can’t last through lunch. The doctors didn’t recognize the carnitine deficiency and they don’t have knowledge anymore to replicate or the test or access to the test so I’m kind of on my own on this. Also four years ago in the summer, I started getting dizzy and lightheaded when I bent over and did yardwork. I had cortisol tests and my cortisol is low and that also contributes to the lightheadedness and dizziness. As we age, there’s a lot of other issues which confuse matters and you have to have a good doctor. That’ll handle them one by one. I also have insulin resistance that adds to the dizziness, hunger, and then weight gain. I also take some other medicines, which can contribute. Also after 30 years, I was finally diagnosed with inflammatory gout. I believe that was one of the confusion that led to my fibromyalgia diagnosis as it was a kind of inflammatory disease, but they kept looking at the osteoarthritis as a reason for my pain, and they kept dismissing rheumatism because I didn’t meet the criteria. Turns out it was the gout. Today I take allopurinol and I’m super happy and my uric acid levels are completely normal and I have way less days of inflammation. When I get fibromyalgia and inflammation symptoms, I take an extra allopurinol and then I’m back to moving better. I was very very angry that even though I had had gout flares in 200two to 2004 enough to send me to the hospital nobody ever did the math. We have to be proactive for our own care. I have been misdiagnosed with major Medical issues three times. I do not trust doctors to look at me and scrutinize my situation sufficiently. You can try ZAZZEE tart cherry capsules for $20 on Amazon and if it makes you feel better then maybe you look at your uric acid causing inflammation and fatigue. I don’t know what I would have done without the intercellular blood test to give me a better breakdown back in 2006. The test used to be paid for by insurance but now you’d have to pay for it yourself. What’s running through your bloodstream is just running through your bloodstream at any given time and doesn’t tell you much of anything. Now it’s 68. I have gotten used to taking some naps. Sometimes it’s unavoidable and I think it’s part of aging and having a body racked with degenerative conditions. I just accept some of this. I’m not the same active person. I was at 30 and I have to accept life. We should all take time and smell the roses.
