My retina specialist told me to eat for my eyes the same I would for my heart. Research has found the blood vessels in both are very similar. I'm 57, I was told I have AMD 3 years ago but found out via requesting my records that I've actually had it for at the least 7 years and guess what they never told me and when they did it wasn't treated like a big deal .. my vision is still very good. I eat a lot good healthy foods all day every day. I take AREDS, vitamin c, turmeric, antioxidant vitamins, I add antioxidant fruit powders and flax seed to my smoothies.... I walk n exercise in some way every day. I pray to Saint Lucy patron saint of sight. I pray a cure comes along. I cry about it but I try not to think about it. I don't why I have it so young. Luckily, research and science has a long way for us... There's more today then even 5 years ago. I had someone with AMD tell this isn't a blind death sentence, I keep that in the back of my head. My retina doctor told me she has patients who not progressed in decades. My friend in England has had it 17 years and still sees and drives etc. try not to let it bother you much .. if you do it will consume your life. I hope I live to be your age and have my vision and complete independence. 😊
