Menopausal anxiety and depression
Hi
I'm curious to hear what other women do for menopausal anxiety and depression when you cannot take hormones because of hormone positive cancer. Prior to my breast cancer I was on HRT and I felt fantastic estrogel and progesterone then I got diagnosed with breast cancer and it was hormonal positive so off it and had horrific side effects with depression and anxiety I'm trying my fourth medications Zoloft and it's just not doing it. I tried to increase it but I can't tolerate it. Also still doing with fatigue from radiation which Lord I wish it would go away. Just wondering what other women have gone through and what you take.
Thank you

Hi
Thank you for your information. Well the last couple days things seem to have leveled out so I don't know what's going on. If things stay the way they have been lately then I'll just stay like it is because I'm feeling like myself again. I think it has a lot to do with the statin and I'm on crestor. I only take it every other day but the days after I take it I feel horrible that day so I'll see what the doctor says.
I hope you got some answers from the doctor. I'm also on Crestor and was very reluctant to take it, but I needed to bring down my cholesterol. I've been on it for six months and haven't noticed anything bad. Please take care!!! I'm sorry you've had to go through so much. I remember when I was going through menopause and thought I wouldn't survive the crazy side effects. I too didn't want to be on any hormone therapy, so instead the doctors put me on Lexapro and that made a huge difference, especially with night sweats. I couldn't handle Zoloft either, so you might want to ask about Lexapro. I was on that for years, and it helped with all the menopause symptoms.
Hi
Yes Crestor was fine for me the first year but after the radiation treatment for cancer not so much so I'm off it and I feel so much better so now I'm going to try Pravastatin not supposed to have as many side effects I have tried it in the past I can't remember why I didn't take it. Hormones I loved being on they were great I felt fantastic but since I have hormone positive breast cancer I cannot take them anymore I have tried Lexapro could not take it this is my fourth Med The Zoloft so I don't know what I'm going to do I'm going to my naturopath today I may go back to that route
I am so sorry you're dealing with all of this. I hope you find answers.
