Morning! Good new about your results, and I am sorry it had to be a more difficult surgery. Even with the VATS surgery, I went through a little depression. I was so excited I woke up from surgery! I was excited to get home to start recovery! All my family were supportive and caring as well as my co-workers. But… then reality set in when I had to be alone during the day and didn’t (or couldn’t ) have much to do. Also when some of the pains set in, and a lot of the meds were leaving my system. Also the worry of hurting myself but wanting to push myself to get stronger and push through. I believe it’s all very normal, and I also believe if you can stay positive and push for very small goals that increase over time, you will be Good and your mental health will improve. You just went through a major surgery and it will take some time for you to heal both mentally and physically, but Good News… You’re still with us! Try to do little things, that give you enjoyment. Watch funny shows and don’t be afraid to laugh. It will probably hurt a little but you will still feel better afterward. God Bless you and put his healing hands on you! 🙏🙏.
