Hi everyone, I haven’t been on in awhile. I had lung wedge resection & sectomy surgery Mon 7/28. It was cancer, but lymph nodes & margins were clear which is great news. It couldn’t be done robotically cause of difficult location to get to. So I was sliced & diced. Dr went in with microscope since it was small 1.2 cm.
They said 6 wk recovery with first two wks being rough. I am very grateful for the outcome & that I listened to my gut & got 2 nd opinion. First specialist told me to wait 3 mths.
So I have so much to be grateful for, why am I so down in the dumps?
As always, 🙏ers to all of you.

Hello @dalelieberman3 , very good news. I'm very happy for you. Don't be depressed, you have to be happy. I wish you a speedy recovery, good and long life. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

@dalelieberman3, it’s so nice to hear from you. Thanks for providing an update. Your body has been through a lot with the recent surgery, and the emotional ups and downs from the past months can also take a toll on us. Your body and mind need some recovery time.

Morning! Good new about your results, and I am sorry it had to be a more difficult surgery. Even with the VATS surgery, I went through a little depression. I was so excited I woke up from surgery! I was excited to get home to start recovery! All my family were supportive and caring as well as my co-workers. But… then reality set in when I had to be alone during the day and didn’t (or couldn’t ) have much to do. Also when some of the pains set in, and a lot of the meds were leaving my system. Also the worry of hurting myself but wanting to push myself to get stronger and push through. I believe it’s all very normal, and I also believe if you can stay positive and push for very small goals that increase over time, you will be Good and your mental health will improve. You just went through a major surgery and it will take some time for you to heal both mentally and physically, but Good News… You’re still with us! Try to do little things, that give you enjoyment. Watch funny shows and don’t be afraid to laugh. It will probably hurt a little but you will still feel better afterward. God Bless you and put his healing hands on you! 🙏🙏. When able… Walk, walk, walk. ❤️

Hi Dale so glad to hear from you and to know that all went well for you with a good outcome. Now you heal and take it easy and let your body do its job, as in healing itself. Take care
