What were your symptoms of Bladder cancer? Scared I have it.

Posted by nihssa12 @nihssa12, Sep 30, 2022

Two years ago I started to have pelvic pain. Many ultrasounds later I dragged on by my gyneo who eventually changed her mind and sent me to urology. I’ve been peeing blood clots and have micro hematuria. Also been peeing mucus, white and black sedement. I still have pelvic pain.

Going to finally get a urinary and kidney ultrasound and a cystoscope come November.

I honestly am terrified and feel like I already have cancer and that it’s too late for me. That I’m destined to die.

Any stories or reassuring testimonies?

Had a turp procedure do on me a few years back
To allow me to pee more easier but not for prostate cancer. It was called TURP which stands for trans urethral resection procedure which did in fact allow me to pee easier and increased my pressure of peeing if that’s any help for you. Sincerely, Robert

Hi my name is Pete. I'm 64 and live in ontario, Canada. I had a camera scope done and I had prostate cancer and had surgery to remove my prostate. I do have low grade cancer in my bladder right now. I have another camera scope this mth to see how things are now with my bladder. I was really surprised I had prostate cancer but I knew something was wrong as I took forever to pee. So now I wait and see . I remain very positive each day. Take care pete

I have had non-metastatic bladder tumors. I started having more nighttime urgency ( common at my age) and bright red blood that I didn't know where it was coming from. My 6 month urine test with my general practitioner showed a more thsn micro smount of blood in my urine. Naturally, at 70 and post menopausal, I was worried I had uterine cancer. I didn't have pain with that first large tumor. I had a CAT scan and an ultrasound, neither of which showed the tumor. The cystoscopy did. I don't feel like you should be waiting so long for your cystoscopy. Prayers for you as you work through the process to heal.

Oh, and after 2 surgeries, removal of a few in the office, and over a year of scheduled BCG treatments, I've been clear for a year and am waiting for my next cystoscopy in November.

I had a small amount of blood in my urine some years ago. My Dr sent me to a urologist who did a scope, and they found bladder cancer. It was removed. I had a series of scopes over the following years, and a few reoccurrences were found but found early. I have a scope about every six months. Usually, they are clear but if anything suspicious is seen it is burned our right then. Yes, it is scary but finding it and treating it can add many good years and also keep the treatment easy and effective.
