I also take 10 mg in pieces throughout the night..I wake every couple of hours. I also take Quetapine 100mg benadryl 50mg usually twice in the night, tizanidine 4mg twice during night, and 600mg of gabapentin
And here I am after being up for.an hour at 2am wide awake. I dont even think a horse tranquilizer would make me sleep. It has caused so many complications in my life when it's really hard to make a daily routine because my nights have no sleep routine creating fatigue and brain fog.
Any advice?

My Zolpidem, after about 10 years, gives me only 5 hrs/night. I added one non-prescription PURE Zzz Quil Triple action chewable to my nightly Zolpidem. It only gives me, on average, 1 hour extra of sleep, but I'll take it. The Triple Action has Melatonin and Ashwagandha in it. With my combination they put me to sleep in less than 5 minutes. Good REM too, even if only 5-6 hours. I suggest you read about Ashwagandha before taking it. They do confirm it can help sleep and anxiety. I hope this helps somebody.

Me too. I make up a cocktail of pills and i hope I wake up in the AM. It's kinda ok if i don't wake up bc i'll be asleep forever. I've been on Trazodone 50 mg- 100 mg, ambien 5 mg, lunesta 3 mg, temazepam 15 mg or 30 mg. There's one with a Q but it's too expensive (workman comp. ) I've asked for 2 years for a sleep study and no one orders it. I also take Xanax for sleep anxiety and do sleep hygine, no tv, no screens before bed time. Supplemnet wise : Magnesium -different types, Gorilla Dream, Melatonin 3 mg at dinner time. I've started drinking to hope something kicks in. I can be awake for 3 days straight or 5 days. I don't drive bc I don't trust myself or my slowed reactions. I've fallen three times bc im too tired to lift up my feet, not bc im sedated. I have intractable insomnia after a TBI

bigpharmahostage, most of those meds you take are not for sleep issues. Benadryl does help most people with sleep issues but not people with severe sleep disorders. You need to find a medication for sleep. Lots of them out there... and you'll most likely have to try quite a few before you find one that works well for you. But do not give up. You need sleep... The best sleep med was Flurazepam, but it was discontinued in 2022. I now take Lorazepam and Amitriptyline at bedtime. (Amitriptyline is taken a couple hours before bedtime) Good luck! Don't give up.
