Thank you for the comment. On my CT scan it says ground glass lung disease which is why I phrased it that way. That is what the radiologist called it. I’ve done a lot of research and a lot says that it either is or can lead to lung cancer. Which is why I asked. I have not ever had asthma or lung issues in the past. I was referred to a pulmonologist but thought I’d ask here since sometimes there are doctors or medical people on these forums. Thank you for helping!

Mayo Connect is a forum for patients and caregivers to support one another. But, even if there was a doctor here, none that I know would render an opinion without seeing you and your images.
Here is an article describing all of the things this might be, and the typical protocol for followup:

Chances of it being cancer depend on a lot of factors like your status as a smoker or former smoker, and exposure to known carcinogens like asbestos, concrete dust and benzene.

What was the reason for the CT scan?

There are a number of things that can cause GGOs that are not cancerous including molds. Here, in Michigan where I live, its estimated that 50% of the population has GGOs caused by forest molds and bat guano. The estimate is based on the number found during autopsies on people who had not had any diagnosed previously.

This may not help but I have GGOs that have remained unchanged since my lung cancer diagnosis in 2010.

I also had that diagnosis on X-rays which led my doctor to send me to pulmonary, who in turn had a surgeon do a biopsy of a nodule which showed up on the initial X-ray. It turned out to be a carcinoid tumor. They removed it recently because it began to grow. Not saying this is your problem. Just suggesting there can be more to look for. Ask a multitude of questions. And seek more than one opinion.
