AREDS2 is not a placebo effect. The technician was likely joking about your "seeing" that your eyes were "not quite as good" as when on AREDs. The placebo effect would be more your perceived symptoms or lack thereof. Did your eyes "return" once back on AREDS2?

Yes, my eyes felt better and he said again it's just a placebo effect. I see the surgeon in a couple of weeks for a follow up and I'll discreetly ask him about it. I definitely feel a good difference when I take them 1-2 times a day. The assistant is imperfect like all of us. But, like I said, I'll ask the surgeon. And I never see the same assistant when I go in. Thanks for the reply!
