Scar tissue after knee replacement
I had knee replacement surgery 6 weeks ago . Through PT I have been working on breaking up the scar tissue only for it to regrow by the time I get back to PT two days later. I have been massaging at home, using a hand held massager and roller. It is painful and swollen. I am getting very disheartened. Any suggestions as to what else I can do. Has anyone had laser treatments to break up scar tissue? Were they effective?

Hi @cobweb: Thank you for sharing your successful stem cells experience. It's such an assuring info that ease my worry. The day will come when my left knee pain will need TKR! Medicare probably will never pay for stem cells. I hope my retirement savings will last long enough for me to handle the cost!
The question i would ask is where did he get his training. Many chiropractors get their stem cells from sale people and they are dead. Good luck with your search. I know in Toledo Promedica is letting their employees get stem cells for reduce cost if done at their sites.
Doctor i used was Olympic doctor . Fairly young. Just one injection and have had it done twice in last 4 years. Effect, knee feels better. Know people who have had it done in shoulder and places where arthritis sets in.

Yes, tell all: what was wrong w you? how much pain? What's involved w laser light therapy ? Cost.
saw doc - going back to therapy - both hip and knee are not too good, but I am playing tennis ! And I am going to ski in the winter - no matter what !
There are not too many years left for me to do theses things - I am 83 !!
I looke up the Laser Light therapy and you can buy a pen on the internet - for about $ 200 - I will investigate further and see if that thing works - -
