I have to wear shoes with supports in them all day. If I walk at all without them I get numbness, pain & neuropathy. I get cushioned supports with arch support and metatarsal support and wear them in a shoe that my foot doesn’t move around in that has a some softness but not overly soft footbed. I find Merrells work well for me. It was a bit of trial and error though but it has helped a ton.

@mnlp77 i wear Orthofeet shoes that my podiatrist recommended. They are expensive, but go on sale at times. They come with a kit of extra insoles and arch supports. They help my arthritic feet that have no foot pads left.
