My doctor that first suggested it said glucosamine chondroitin. I don’t know if MSM was mentioned. That was around 1993-94 when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I buy it when it’s on sale and she said I DON’T need to take 1-2 with every meal. 1-2 a day is enough. It is not a pain reliever. It works over time. I don’t notice it’s working be use it’s gradual. What I DO notice is that a few days after I stop taking it, I feel pain coming back into my joints that I could handle previously but not any more.
I won’t/can’t take pain killers. I’m a recovering addict. Glucosamine chondroitin, along and ibuprofen as needed, allows me to function. I can work and grocery shop and clean my house. Without them, I fear I would be a near-invalid.

I was able to get a couple bottles cheap when our Rite Aid closed down. I am good for the next 10-12 months now.
I love the ease of Costco’s liquid but it tasted NASTY.

glucosamine definitely helps. I take 750 mg 3 times a day, no chondroitin. If I don't don't the pain is terribly unbearable.
