Is stem cell treatment (from bone marrow) a viable option for end stage COPD.

I had a stem cell injection years ago and my lung function increased dramatically. I went from a 70 to 79 then 89 which has held for many years now.

The lung association says there is no evidence that stem cell treatment works. Sounds like it did for you. How many treatments did you have? Where did you go? I know there are several treatment centers that offer this but have been hesitant to try it.

I have also inquired from several expert pulmonologists and to date there is no legitimate stem cell treatment for COPD! I have seen several sites claiming treatment but do not believe they are valid. One in particular in the Cayman Island that will charge somewhere in the neighborhood of $27,000! Please be very careful!

It was about 10 years ago. My wife was getting a shot for her knees so i asked about it for COPD. It was 6,000. I don't recall the name of the place but it was local in Washington State. They are no longer at that location though as I was considering going back.
Sorry, not much help.
