Where is the pain, inside the joint or on the side of the leg somewhere. There are a lot of tendon attachments around the joint. The IT band insertion point just below the knee on the outer side is one that gets inflamed and hurts a lot when doing stairs and standing up from a sitting position. Ask a lot of questions!
