Hi all LS sufferers. I've had surgery for labial adhesions--3 months ago. I'm still having sharp, strong pain when I pee. The surgeon's NP says to use coconut oil or olive oil. They also say I will have to use estrogen cream nightly for the rest of my life. I don't have a problem doing that but it does nothing for my LS. I began using clobetasol about 5 days ago and initially it seemed to help. Now, not so much. I've read that some have began using a bidet to help their LS. How many have found that helpful? I have a pari bottle with an extendable ?neck that is very easy to use but just checking if any others have tried this and what has been the results. Thanks all.

I was diagnosed with vaginal Lichen last May by a gynecologist and now my dermatologist is treating me for it. I use Clobetesol ointment every other day and the off days I use Pur brand Coconut Oil ozone-infused. (Amazon) It is expensive but worth it for the pain/itching relief it gives me. Some say they don't like the smell of it but I think it is odd but for the relief it gives me, it is a welcome fragrance. Best of luck getting the relief you need.

@queenie2030 I sit a tub with warm water with added baking soda to it. Then pat vaginal area dry. After this I apply clobetasol creme (very small amount) and gently rubb the cream in. It helps with itching. I also use organic coconut oil daily. It helps!

I use Lisepten every time I urinate. You don't need much, so it lasts a long time even with frequent use. It's been a godsend. I rotate between regular, coconut, and jojoba, and I find they all work exceptionally well. I've been using it consistently for years and have no visual symptoms. I can't rave enough about it. I've also used the tea as a sitz bath a few times in the past and found that comforting when my symptoms were flaring.

My journey began with the fact it took 10 years to be diagnosed which means I have quite a bit of scar tissue. My dermatologist made the diagnosis. Needless to say I changed my gynecologist. I currently see both my dermatologist and my gynecologist yearly. I've had this condition for about 26 years. I had to spots biopsied for cancer and thankfully they were negative.

I use Aquaphor 1 % anti-itch cream in the vaginal/vulva area once or twice daily. I also use regular Aquaphor in the anal area at least once daily. I am very comfortable now. Note I also use Estrace cream on the vaginal opening once or twice a week.

Other recommendations: use Dreft laundry soap for babies or similar, don't use dryer sheets (I use dryer balls), use mild soap such as Dove or Norwex wash rags that don't require soap, pat - don't wipe, use Charmin toilet paper with Aloe Vera or similar, limit any bike riding or at least "grease" up when you do and use padding.

I also have found that Jockey Worry Free underwear is really nice. It is slightly padded but mostly is important as with all the lotions I don't have to worry about anything showing through my clothes.

Everyone is so different but I hope some of these ideas might help you out and give you hope!

@andwho
I don't have pain anymore since I'm very faithful with applying the Aquaphor 1% cream after showering plus doing all the others things I mentioned. I sure hope that you can find some things to work for you. I do see a dermatologist and a gynecologist yearly.
