Arthritis upswing after radiation: Is this common?

So many patients. So many variables. So hard to say anything definitive.

I can, however, say that I had bilateral hip replacements in 2011 and 2012. At age 72, RP in August 2022, followed promptly by Salvage Radiation Treatment in March - May 2023.

So over 2 years since 66.6 gy radiation to pelvic region and pelvic lymph nodes and no discernable change or increase to my low level, age related arthritis.

As many others have said on many posts, your results may be different.

Same here, no increase in arthritis pain. When it does occur in my legs- Voltaren gel works wonders- pain is gone for 8-12 hours.
