This condition is a normal part of the aging process, so it may be nothing to be concerned about. I was diagnosed at 63, but my report lacked the word "mild". CMVD can often be accompanied lacunar strokes, and in my case I have had multiple. These can be completely asymptomatic, so you don't even know when you have one.
I don't know what prompted your MRI, but as long as you are asymptomatic it may be that this is not a problem. In any case, the process is irreversible and there is really nothing to do for it other than maintain a healthy lifestyle to slow down the process. Depending on your overall health concerns your doctor may recommend a baby aspirin a day for the same reason that people with CAD (like me) take them to reduce risk.
My only issues are gait and balance problems at this point. Not fun but manageable.
Good luck!

After my stroke (ischemic lacunar), the MRI showed some microvascular ischemia "consistent with age" (I was 60 at the time.)
The neurologist wasn't concerned.
Neither was I. There were enough other things to worry about.
6-1/2 years later, I still feel the same.
