Hello, @catzarecool – Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am happy you replied to this thread and hope the conversations help as you work through your son's condition. Seven years is a long time to be dealing with EBV. Your comment, “He can't stay well and doesn't remember feeling truly healthy,” really hit home with me. I see @kkathysan replied to your post, but I also wanted to bring @cummings3 @nataliem into the conversation in hopes they can also share their experience and knowledge.

Thank you. We really do need to talk to others. This is depressing. He is thinking of isolating from everyone and everything now because he just can't stay well. I am scared for him because this is a long time to have swollen abdominal lymph nodes. It's been since mid July, so almost 9 months.
