I am on Rosuvastatin , which a potent statin .
All statins have the same side effects . Lovastatin isn’t as potent . I wary of statins. I wil talk to MD about your suggestion

@merrychristmas, I was mainly posting the information for the person ,sjm46, who said she was taking Red Yeast Rice. So many people don't realize that it actually is a statin, an unregulated one.

I didn't mean to imply that it would be a substitute for Crestor for you, that it might solve your "pins and needles" sensation. I believe Crestor and Lipitor are the two strongest statins.
I take a very low dose, 10mg of Lipitor . I have sleep issues and have wondered if it might be the culprit .
