Hello--just saw this post 7/20/2025. I was diagnosed with PD in 2012 then had more non-pd symptoms, got tested and was told I also have MG. I believe that was 2014 and I finally retired on disability in 2015. I have the head drop problem from MG. Never knew it was so heavy. Just read about how many there are of us rare birds (27 since 1997). I have had appointments with 8 different neurologists over the years, and not one of them had a patient like me. I was sitting next to a gentleman during a Parkinson's info seminar. He said he also had MS. My thought is, get the rare combos and study why we get both brain diseases. Wouldn't that help with diagnosis of PD? Just a thought I had. Oh, I am a 67 year old female living in VA.

Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, @jch2025va. It sounds like your combination of conditions is indeed rare.

You mentioned head drop. Wondering what other symptoms you've experienced? Have you and any of the neurologists you've seen found medications or any lifestyle changes that are helpful for your symptoms?
