For those who don't want to dive deeply into the analysis, this was a study of 44 people who initially completed NTM treatment, to see how frequent reoccurrence is and whether it can be predicted by features of their CT scans. About 40% became infected again during the course of the review, but the study is lacking in critical details such as whether airway clearance with or without saline was done routinely, whether the second infection was the same NTM as the first, and which antibiotics were used the first time.

So - interesting, but just a beginning?
