Anxiety, pain, digestive problems

Hello all. For months I have been having left side focused pains. I have anxiety mind you. Let arm ache. Left chest ache. Feeling of lightheadeness that last for hours at time. This hasn’t been almost everyday for about 3 months. I have had all the heart test minus catheter even a visit to Er last night. They say heart is ok and I think they think of anxiety. About a month or so ago I began burping nonstop. No heartburn just burping. I told my GP and he prescribed me omepraloze Seems to help slightly.

If I do In fact have GERD could this cause pain near nipple area. Random squeezing that goes away after 1-29 seconds and also, not pain , but jaw tingling maybe is how to describe it. And the lightheadeness? I’m desperate for answers as GP and theee different Er docotrsnand a cardiologist all ruled out heart

Hello! I’ve been dealing with chronic bloating and occasional constipation for years now. I’m seeing a gasotroenterologist in a few weeks for the first time at Piedmont, but I'm scared of not being taken seriously. I usually have a BM most days, but the bloating and distension stay. Some days are better than others and it usually seems to come in waves. I do think it could be related to anxiety as I’ve been bloated every day for the past 2 months after starting two jobs, even waking up bloated (I don’t want to get on medicine for anxiety again). I end up looking 5 months pregnant on a lot of days and I’ve ultimately lost so much confidence and can’t wear my cute clothes anymore. I’m only 19 and I’m at such a loss of what to ask the doctor or how to go about any natural remedies. Please give me any good tips you have, what could help, and what to ask the doctor to make sure this gets taken seriously

Hello. You are young and in your prime of life. Try your best to avoid the Rx's--your gut will thank you years from now. Read about Monash University's Nerva app which is fabulous for these issues. Rule out any physical issue of course with your docs, but be cautious with any Rx. Research research and take it slow.
Best of luck.

You are very young to have these issues. I can understand the bloating and looking pregnant. I have the same issue. I had several lab test done and all good. Mine too appears to be anxiety related. I agree with others try to stay away from prescription meds if you can. My issue is improving I use miralax daily and walk daily and added more protein to my diet. Finally my pregnant tummy is decreasing. Please try to think positive. See what works for you. The stomach fat we carry can affect our overall health. Good luck to you. It is important to trust your doctor snd if you don’t find another one. Sometimes asking friends or neighbors who they use. Since you are very young maybe ask your friends parents. Try to find a doctor you feel comfortable in your area. They are out there.

Try GasEx or Beano. This cut the gas for me and stopped my nausea. Good Luck

I've shared this on other posts before, but it's so important to have cancer ruled out. Appendix and ovarian cancer present as bloating and stomach distention. Both TREATABLE if caught early. Best wishes! Diane, RN

Hi all,
In addition to diet modifications, medications etc for those of us who have IBS,
I have been doing hypnotherapy tapes from
NervaIBS.

After a bit more than a month of testing them, I am inclined to think GasEx is better than Beano; however, since I've upped my dosage of Sinemet (Carbidopa/Levodopa), which was causing the nausea and gas, neither seems to be working as well. They still help some. I am not throwing up.

@maggie04 , have you been tested for SIBO? Your symptoms caught my attention. I was scheduled for a SIBO test, but had to reschedule.

there was this yoga exercise Iused to do . I can't remember the name, but this is how you do it. Stand with feet shoulder with apart. Make 2 fists, then pound on your lower abdomen under your navel and above your pubis bone. We used to do this standing in a circle up to 1000. It supposedly brings your head energy down to your root chakra, and increase blood flow to your colon. I find it relaxing. I learned it in a class Yoga / Tai chi, but it was a company.
