That’s unfortunate.
I actually fell into a very small percentage of patients that had a spinal stimulator implanted and developed thoracic radiculopathy.
I will be having a revision surgery in a month. I will do anything to keep the stimulator as it provided at minimum 80% in pain relief.
Hoping you can find relief. I have had chronic acute pain for over four decades.
It’s not 100% but the surgeon says he’s very confident that I’ll be free of the chest pain and my stimulator will continue to provide the relief I’ve have been having.
Yes, and it didn’t do anything. First I’d had injections and several years later I got the ablation. neither helped. Supposedly it was arthritis of the facet joints. A series of several injections three years later. Very little help. The only thing that works is narcotics. It used to be pretty easy to get a prescription but not anymore. You have to beg. I have five hydrocodone left and I guard them with my life. Good luck I hope it will work for you.
I have spinal stenosis and have had 1 ablation almost 1 year ago. my pain Dr. told me it is a temporary lasts between 9 months or more. Right around the 8th month the pins and needles started and the pain is coming back. The Dr. said the next ablation will be when my pain level reaches a constant 5 or more. Then I asked what about a piece of silicone there to stop the nerve from growing back. his reply he has not heard of this . Then he said there is a laser procedure the can last up to 5 years. BUT THE NERVE WILL GROW BACK. So I'mon a rollercoaster of pain meds. month after Tylenol with tramadol. to just tramadol when pain comes back.
Beryl. Does that mean you may be able to keep the simulator

I have had them and they have always been 100% effective. My God bless you with the same success. Charles aka brotherchuckles80
