Everything went as expected and I am now 5.5 weeks into my recovery. Doing kegels, seeing a physical therapist (I started a month before surgery) and looking forward to getting back in the gym. Not looking forward to going back to work wearing pads or incontinence briefs, but oh well.

If I were living in one of the megapolises I would not be thinking about this, but the difference between Oaxaca and a place like Guadalajara is pretty stark in terms of technological development, so my diagnosis really brought that into relief.

Where do you live now? You had operation at home not in Mexico ? I like Mexico , its just two things that are sketchy is the corruption ( unrelenting) and the country is run by 6-7 Drug lords . So from that standpoint im always hyper vigilant in Mexico . I go to SE Asia a lot . As a foreigner kid , I grew up in the Philippines . Wonder childhood and wonderful to visit there . You will see many cross-overs to Mexico as the Spanish had their office for colonies IN MEXICO , so they administered the Philippines (RP) from Mexico in 16, 17 and 1800's . In the RP , very few problems . A few problems in the South Muslim island of Mindanao - but still that has calmed down quite a bit since active patrols by Army . Great to visit and live actually . Very good healthcare there at the right hospitals .
