Triple positive breast cancer

Yes, I had triple positive. I had taxol and a year of herceptin. Now on AI for three years and counting. It is an aggressive cancer but highly treatable since all three components have effective medicines.

Hi - I had a rare type of triple negative for which surgery was the recommended treatment. Data did not support any benefit of chemo or radiation for my type of triple negative. ( It was stage 1b and lymph nodes were clear.)

I have triple positive breast cancer I had lumpectomy I dont know the treatment yet

15 years ago I started my treatment for stage 2 triple positive invasive ductal carcinoma with lobular features...mastectomy, chemo, radiation, Herceptin and prophylactic mastectomy for the other breast at my request. My margins were not clear and there was some involvement of the nodes. Nevertheless I have been well with no evidence of recurrence...always a watchful eye for recurrence though. I’m sorry to hear of such news. I’m sure you will be fine. I had a mastectomy at my surgeons’s request. I didn’t have complete resonance to treatment which makes me very scared if recurrence. They found a small lesion in my liver so now I have to be followed up every 3-6 months.

May I ask if you were on taxol as well and Did you have complete response?

Hi Trinhttt. I was on Fluorouracil first, then Docetaxel, followed by radiation. The Herceptin started near the last infusion of Docetaxel. The full dose of Docetaxel was too much for me and the oncologist reduced it by 15% with the second cycle.
