Have tinnitus in both ears constantly for the last 10 years. Some days ringing is louder than others. My doctor says no cure. Live with it. That true? Diet or food allergies could help? Ur thoughts? Also causing hearing loss. I am 70. Thank you

I am 77. I have had constant tinnitus for over 25 years. It varies from day to day in terms of loudness or even the types of sounds it presents. I cope by making sure I get adequate rest, avoid stressful situations if possible, limit alcohol, avoid noise or if that is not possible use earplugs or headphones. At night I sleep with ear buds providing quiet nature sounds. I eat whatever I want within reason. Keep weight within my BMI. I also wear hearing aids during the day and they help because the less you hear, the louder the tinnitus sounds. So the hearing aids boost up the noise to hearing levels. Best of luck finding things that help mask your tinnitus.

I had very loud sounds of late evening tree frogs or Katydids chirping. A friend decided to get RIFE equipment. Probably 3 times maybe 4 she ran the computer program while I was visiting and my tinnitus of several years went away. Now I have Patulous eustachian tubes from losing weight due to stomach . Some times pressure of voice and ears and stress will build and cause it for a few hours but nothing like what it had been. Find someone and do the RIFEing. It will not hurt you and may help.
