Depression

How does everyone deal with the emotional trauma from this?

I have an appointment at Semmes-Murphy on July 31st. I hope he’ll do all the testing to determine why I have this.

I am diabetic, BUT it is well-controlled & has since right after diagnosed. The neuropathy started after it was controlled. I think my doctors just blow me off because they see ‘diabetic’ & automatically assume it’s that.

Since summer hit here, it has steadily gotten worse. Not sure if it’s related to humidity & pressure or what but wow!!! I’m having the hot flashes in random spots on legs & arms. Sometimes I take Aleve & get some relief, so I think there’s some inflammation or whatever.

I have had 4 MRI’s & other than some stenosis in C5-C7, which they say isn’t causing this, nothing shows up.

I just want to be taken seriously.

I’m a single woman with no children. I worry about being handicapped

See. I’m losing it. Ha

What questions should I ask the neurologist?? Tests to request?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks in advance for any help.

How do your symptoms jive with diabetic neuropathy? Does contact of your clothing with your skin send willys thru your body? Mine was self diagnosed, tho I may have more than one kind and you may as well. For me PreGabalin/Lyrica is effective at controlling what I'd call diabetic neuuropathy.

I haven’t had a definite diagnosis yet. I go to the dr 31st.

I don’t really have issues with touching other than I can’t stand socks/shoes. I can’t stand them. But other than that, material doesn’t bother me.

Mine was pain in my left rib cage. The other nightmare was that infernal itching all over and the later in the evening it got the worse the itching got. Thanks to the PreGabalin both are gone.
