I was diagnosed 3 years ago. I see my doctor every 6 months. My issue is my immunoglobulin levels continue to be low. I was having infusions every 12 weeks for the past year, ut am now having them every 6 weeks through the end of this year to see if that helps.

I was dignosted 3 years ago. I have some issues but treatment (infusions) have brought my blood back to close to normal levels. I am 77 have lived a very full life. I just accept my condition and hope for the best. We don’t have children so in a way I (We) have a different outlook on life if you know what I mean. Do I want to buy the farm absolutely not. I just take my life from one blood test to the next blood test. As one gets older one has to deal with unexpected health issues so I try to deal with it to the best of my ability and if I buy the farm I hope it is a very nice farm.

Have CLL can weaken the immune system. So having those immunoglobulin fusions help to keep your immune system strong and can reduce your risk of getting sick. Were you getting frequent illnesses that your doctor decided to have the infusions closer together?
