Possibly you are extraordinarily sensitive to the eyedrops. This happened to me, not with the cataract surgery which worked very well, but with another eye condition. The more the eye hurt, the more I put the drops in, and then the eye hurt even more. (As I remember, the problematic drops were antiseptic drops.) Finally I got the doctor’s attention and he told me to quit the drops, but monitor how my eye behaved closely. It worked.

@cvestor Above is the link to look at for standard post procedure instructions, plus some great general information. I find it difficult to believe you were not given any instructions! Do you have a few youngsters who can lend a hand to help you during the recovery process? I certainly would not want you to overdue it and jeopardize your recovery! Bending and lifting can be counterproductive to healing.
