I have cataracts and glaucoma. I have made an appt to be evaluated for cataracts and surgery in November. I am afraid too . I have a seizure risk but my eyesight is important. I researched symptoms of cataracts and at what point it might be needed to consider surgery.

I too have a risk of seizures and made certain that my eye surgeon had focused on that risk. He assured me that my head would not move during the cataract surgery. And it didn’t. I was awake and it was done (laser-assisted for 15 minutes) under just local anesthesia. And what a difference in my vision, particularly the colors that I could see again.
