I had the same experience until I started using the cream directly on the urethra every night before bed. Initially, I experienced some stinging from the direct application, but it eventually subsided. Now I have no uncomfortable urethral sensations. I continue to use a small amount every night. As a bonus, I haven't had a UTI since using the cream in this way.
