I have been tested by 4 different rheumatologists for 12 years. They thought I had Lupus, but I was always borderline for 1 of 4 tests. So they couldn't ever agree whether I had it or not. I finally moved to another state, saw ANOTHER rheumatologist who stated that I don't have Lupus, but diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I am also diabetic, and I suspect I have a hormone imbalance. I am working on trying to get a referral to an endocrinologist.
Back to the original comment: I have trialed glucosamine 3 times in 6 months. Each time I end up with a migraine headache that lasts for days. Must be me though, because anything with any type of fish oil or gingko also causes the headaches. Also, I've been advised by my eye doctor that at my age (67) glucosamine might increase eye pressure. There is a family history of acute glaucoma so I guess I don't want to take glucosamine for that reason as well. Although I'd really like to try green lipped mussels to see if it helps with the pain, fatigue, insomnia, and dizziness.

I'm so sorry for all you go through. I have used glucosamine sulphate 750mg 3X daily for 30 years. no chondroitin. It has relieved my fibromyalgia pain immensely. When I went on vacation for 3 weeks and forgot it, the pain came back terribly, it t0ok 3 weeks to get back to normal when I got home. I have no glaucoma although I have that checked regularly, no diabetes but many other eye problems including both cataract surgeries twice. I am 77.
