Hearing the TV with hearing aids
I am having difficulty understanding what is being said on TV at times. Sound volume varies. A device "TV Ears" has been advertised and appears to be similar to a sound bar for tv. Has anyone tried this? Has anyone found anything that helps hearing the tv? I have hearing aids from audiology. They are ReSound brand.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Here's how you can put a hearing loop in your living room to connect to your TV

To follow up a bit more on Telecoils and Hearing Loops and Auracast. As had been said, telecoils is what is put inside your hearing aid in order to connect to a hearing loop, if one is installed.
(https://centerforhearingaccess.org/?s=telecoils). Unfortunately, audiologists seem to rarely volunteer information to us customers about the benefits of telecoils and how they connect with hearing loops or how it can work with an FM assisted listening system. I've heard from people all across the US in different HLAA zoom meetings the same frustration being told that telecoils/hearing loops are, "old technology, there's new technology coming, there aren't many places here with hearing loops." Well it might be old technology but it's still the gold standard in helping one hear in a place with a hearing loop and it's the preferred type of assistive listening system for clarity. And people travel to where there might be hearing loops. Google maps has a feature to check if a specific facility has hearing loops. And this site, while might not be fully up to date, can help search by state and community, (www.time2loopAmerica.com). Auracast is another type of bluetooth. While there is a lot of hype about it, and there are a few that have installed it, the final standards for it won't come out until the end of 2017. So it's possible, all of these early bird products coming out saying they have Auracast may have problems working and places that have installed something early might not work right. There are still a lot of unanswered questions about Auracast. Will it work like a telecoil, push a button on your hearing aid or switch to telecoil on your smartphone, no wearing of a device around your neck and a neck loop to have to connect as you have to do with an FM system, and it was mentioned, one should make sure, even when standards are finalized and HA manufacturers have started putting Auracast in hearing aids, one should still make sure they get a telecoil too. And pressure/letters, should be sent to HA manufacturers to tell them they need to still incluce telecoils. It will take years for Auracast to get installed in places. If places now that should have an assisted listening system still haven't installed a hearing loop or FM system, what incentive will they have to install an auracast system. It won't happen overnight. People wiser than me about this say it will take 10 years before Auracast might become the standard.
