Pleural-based 6mm nodular stable then a year later 14mm
At the right lung base/right lower lobe, there is a pleural-based 14 mm nodular
opacity that appears to enhance, possibly a small vascular malformation with
neoplasm favored to be less likely. Consider PET/CT. Similar appearance of a 4
mm right middle lobe nodule. Now the 14mm one grew it was 6mm last ct scan and was stable and that scan was only one year ago

@jason49gators, I hope that you were able to get some additional information. The PET results can be difficult to interpret when they show infection or even inflammation. Are you in for more tests?
Tomorrow I go to the ent tomorrow. Thanks 😊
Hi @jason49gators, just checking on you, how did your appointment go? Anything that the ENT wants to take action on, or are you waiting and watching?
Everything is good with that too now I’m getting a second opinion about the nodule. Have my blood test taken today blood count look good but my MPV is high, so whatever that means
MPV is 'mean platelet volume', the actual size of the platelet. Platelets shrink as they age so many larger plates probably means many new platelets being formed.
I’m 10yr survivor of stage 4 lung cancer and have been in remission since 2018. The only way to go (in my opinion) is immunotherapy. After disastrous results from “the big guns of chemotherapy” blew a hole in back of right lung- given a get your affairs in order as you will be dead within 2 weeks- well I’m living proof that the drs. are not always right, but that was due to IV treatment every 2 weeks from a medicine called Optivo. By the way the hole grew back in to the amazement or the impossibility of that ever occurring. They’re using this Keytruda a lot now but that Optivo, when it works works everywhere. That’s the short version of what I have survived but I am certain that I was assisted by the “Creator of all things.” Will assist you in any way I can if you wish?
hi, I had another CAT scan today would dye . And here is the results. At the right lung base along the dome of the right
hemidiaphragm there is lobular semisolid nodule measuring 1.3 cm which appears
stable compared with both prior CT chest exams. Look good ?
I believe that means that they don’t suspect cancer, it’s a fair size so they would be looking for something. If they don’t suggest a PET/ct scan then that’s a good thing.
I see that they did do a PET/ct scan and nothing was mentioned to you about it being cancer, sometimes a nodule will grow for other reasons like inflammation or infection. I’m always very happy to hear the doctor say everything looks good.
Yes only thing that worries me is the characteristics of it has changed
