Itchy genitals with no rash
I have had a chronic itch for three years on my genitals (in and outside of the vagina and rectum .) I started to feel that itch after visiting the beach. My skin does not show any rash. I sometimes feel pain inside my vagina and rectum. Sometimes it is a spasm pain with slight burn. My genitals are constantly inflamed , itching and burning. I have tried many antibiotics , creams and ointments and nothing helps. I itch all day every day with very little relief. It is extremely difficult to move and walk . Has anyone dealt with anything like this? Please help me.

Have you been to your doc or fnp? After we got our bidet I began having itching with no rash. I consulted with my family nurse practitioner and when I told her about the bidet and she diagnosed yeast infection. Cleared up with antibiotics. Just one possible idea but I am not a health care professional.
Thank you for your reply. I have received medication for yeast and it did not clear up. I was prescribed Clindamycin and when that didn't work , they gave me levofloxican. Levofloxican did not work as well. They didn't find any discharge or anything.
I have seen 5 gynecologists, two colorectal surgeons, allergist, neurologist, 2 dermatologist, 2 gastroenterologist and an ID doctor.
I applaud your perseverance. Do you mind me asking what state you are in? I ask because I wonder if you are near any highly regarded teaching hospitals like Mayo, John's Hopkins or Stanford just to name a few. I don't know if something like that is within reach for you. Are any of the physicians you see are pursuing this issue with outreach to other facilities. I am so sorry that there have not been any answers for you yet.
Thank you . I live in south Texas. Nobody I see pursues outreach . It is more like "we ran some tests, it is negative and you're good to go" even though I still feel so much itching.
I did have a colorectal surgeon do a biopsy on my skin and it came back " abnormal skin" and thats all he said. No extra details or information. That was all he could give me.
I made an appointment this morning with The Mayo clinic in Arizona. I have an appointment coming up soon with a gyno.
I wonder if that physician can elaborate on "abnormal skin". What the heck are you supposed to do with that dx?
@iramosy3 after years of suffering with the itching my doctor finally diagnosed me with lichen sclerosis and prescribed Clobetasol ointment. Itching gone after a week of application. Now I use it just when I have a flare.
Exactly! I was very upset when they told me that . I did ask to elaborate but they couldn't.
Thank you for your response , I'll go ahead and ask my dermatologist about that.
I did take this supplement called Beta Alanine yesterday and it seems to be giving me some relief so far.
