I have AIH and am taking prednisone and azioHioprine.
I also have PPPD and its symptoms got worse when I started treatment for autoimmune hepatitus. I thought the prednisone was the culprit, but now I'm just about weaned off the prednisone. Yesterday I forgot the aza and I felt much better (less dizziness, more energy)
.Is it coincidence or is the aziothiprine??

@fehrlady Your best bet is to directly ask your doctor. No one on Mayo Clinic Connect is a medical professional so answers are really their opinion. All “serious” drugs are so full of everything that, of course, you feel better when you don’t take it! Every time I ‘forget’ my immune suppressants, I go thru this ritual of kicking myself (not real kicks!!) and telling myself that I MUST take if I want to feel better. Then I’m fine for several months!
Can you come up with a ritual or a good ‘self talking to’ to help you remember?
