@fos54235 thank you for sharing your progress, and @naturegirl5, thank you for providing encouragement and support.

It gives me hope that my procedure (same diagnosis, same surgery) on Thursday will go as well. Had an iron infusion today, so that will hopefully help me feel better as well as assist the healing. And no kidney pain discomfort at the moment, so that's great news too.

Please keep sharing your progress - it reassures me, and I am sure others, too.

@nikkiww7 Thank you for letting us know that your surgery is coming up on Thursday. I will continue to share progress too.

I followed all of the pre-operative instructions including NPO (nothing by mouth) the night before. I had to be at the hospital very early and so I got in the shower at about 5 am to take the shower and scrub with the antibacterial soap as directed. That shower sure woke me up although I admit I didn't sleep all that well the night before.
