Stopping ADT Scared and Anxiety Update

My father died of prostate cancer at 88. He died because lupron was the only drug at the time, and it failed. He died in an incredible amount of pain and for the last couple of weeks could not talk to anybody because the drugs to manage the pain had him so loopy.

This is a man who had his teeth ground down and crowned without Novacaine. Then he would come home for dinner and you never know anything was wrong.

I don’t care how the drug interaction is, dying from prostate cancer is worse.

Get him on Darolutamide, That drug alone may give him years. Speak to your doctor and ask for it specifically.

Thank you. I’m so worried. Let’s see what happens through the end of the year. I must say the aberaterone has given no side affects and has along with Lupron has kept the Beast at bay. I’m afraid of what it will be like when we stop. My husband is not at all like your Dad (or mine for that matter! But then again they were the greatest generation……
