Congratulations on 90 days! It is so very scary. A year ago I was told I had maybe 30 days to live after a dreadful health incident that put me in the hospital for 6 days. Not sure what my Meld was then, but it’s at 16 now, bounces up and down. My advice: get a good GI/hepatologist, get in the right meds (it takes awhile), do what your doctor says, stay sober, get a referral to Mayo, or whichever great transplant hospital is near you.. If not already, get into an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for addiction - this will be required for most transplant hospitals, certainly Mayo. If you can’t get a referral, refer yourself - this may be harder, but worth it. I was referred to Mayo last November, started the process for Transplant Evaluation in March, completed the week long evaluation just yesterday, and will know in a week whether I’m listed. Do what you can to get and stay as healthy as possible, so you are strong.

This is a lot to dump on you at once, and I am happy to share any support and advice I can to get you back to a place of well being.

Kelly

Cool , cool on 90 days !!! Drinking not one of my many faults (even less so after my liver transplant) but my sister + friends who had that habit and stopped were so much happier they did. Very tough and scary for sure but the best by far for the long game !! Hang in there. Prayers up.
