Anyone tried using red light therapy?

Posted by domokane @domokane, Jul 29, 2023

There seems to be some evidence that photobiomodulation - heating the skin via infra red light - has some benefits for stimulating nerve re growth. There are lots of devices available on Amazon as well as lots of seemingly expensive treatments provided by chiropractors.

I would be interested to know of any personal experience with such devices and any possible recommendations.

Hi
I just bought a pure magnesium spray from my local health food store. You can use it on sore muscles , on feet and also as a natural deodorant because it's antimicrobial.

Hi
I believe it has helped yes but of course it can't take it away 100% and I actually sleep better

My physical therapist gave me red light gloves to use on my hands when I was experiencing tingling and rope burn pain. It seemed to help. Now I am interested in acquiring red light treatment for my feet. There are plenty to choose from. Hammacher Schlemmer makes a set that looks like sandals--probably more beneficial for the bottom of your feet.

I have been using red light therapy for 6 years. It has taken the pain away from my feet and the numbness has not progressed. I use a foot and ankle device from HealthLight for 20 minutes a day. I use the same device for my hands. It cost about $1600. You can check it out on their website. It is medical grade and made in the US.

I have idiopathic neuropathy recently dx.but mild symptoms have been going on for about 3 years. No pain but bumpy feelings in my feet, cramping at night, weaking guads.I am 80 years old. A varied daily routine around weight training ,hiking with poles, exercising in a warm pool, stationary bicycling, treadmill depending how I feel. I get a weekly foot massage which works wonders for my tight feet and toes. Have been looking at a company called InLightTherapy for infrared and red light therapy. Has anyone researched them? My rolfer recommend it.

Not that company. BUT I purchased a unit from norelie - Redrevive therapy wand. It meets the guidelines established by the book The Body Electric which is one of the best reads (boring reads) on body function. My experiences with this wand have been surprisingly good .... and I'm not even associated with the company in any manner.

How long have you used it? That is, how long did it take for you to notice any difference? Thank you.

Red light is the same for most devices. Use Amazon for a handheld with a stand for convenience
60 seconds per area once a day should be adequate. Will take weeks to see real results

2 times per day for about a week. 20 minutes each time. Do not touch the skin...keep the wand moving.
