Hi tamlyn74. I'm 84 and have had ET and have been on hydroxyurea for 3 1/2 yrs with minimal side effects. Mostly am tired but HU has had little effect to my overall life. My oncologist says that my being very active, exercising almost daily, Mediterranean diet, frequent walks are helping me. Try it. You may like it. 🙂
