Hello and Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, @sandhya60. Thank you for sharing your story with us. Sharing our experiences is so helpful to others that are coming to join our community.

First, I need to apologize for the delay in my response.

While we wait for other community members to join conversation, I would like to introduce you to member @shellydaniels, who is looking to connect with anyone who has experienced Corneal transplant. Click here (http://mayocl.in/2iWU0sC) to find conversation already taking place on Connect regarding Corneal transplant.
I would also like to connect you with member @ronwegner who had surgery when he was 11 years old and is looking to have his lenses replaced. Any insight you may offer to them will be greatly appreciated.

I will continue searching for a contact to help with your question regarding presenile cataracts and DNA.

@sandhya60, have you been to see a geneticist?

I have since had my lenses replaced at EYE CENTER OF ST. AUGUSTINE. Todd P Thompson MD did the surgery. He seems to be the go to guy in that office. I had a good experience with all of this. Maybe this will help. Good luck with your endeavor. Regards Ron
